Clark County Fire Department Rural Division

Indian Springs Station 83

Indian Springs Station 83 Overview

Indian Springs Station 83 is a volunteer fire station within the Clark County Fire Department’s Rural Division, located at 30 South “A” Street, Indian Springs, NV 89018.

The station is staffed by volunteer firefighters who provide fire protection, emergency medical response, and rescue services for the Indian Springs community and the surrounding rural areas of northwest Clark County.

Station 83 operates a fleet of emergency response apparatus tailored to rural fire and rescue needs, including Engine 83 for structural and wildland firefighting, Water Tender 83 for supplemental water support in areas without hydrants, and Rescue 83 for medical and rescue response. Additional support vehicles are deployed as needed to ensure effective response across the station’s coverage area.

Situated along U.S. Highway 95 north of Las Vegas, Indian Springs is a rural community with expansive desert landscapes and sparse development. Station 83 plays a vital role in protecting residents, commuters, local businesses, and travelers within its response area.

The Clark County Fire Department actively recruits volunteer firefighters for its rural stations, including Station 83. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid Nevada driver’s license, and certifications in CPR/AED and EMT (Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic). Additional qualifications such as Firefighter I and Hazardous Materials certifications are desirable.
