Clark County Fire Department Rural Division
Mountain Springs Station 79
Mountain Springs Station 79 Overview
Mountain Springs Station 79 is a volunteer fire station within the Clark County Fire Department’s Rural Division, located at 6000 South Highway 95, Mountain Springs, NV 89049.
The station is staffed by volunteer firefighters who provide fire protection, emergency medical response, and rescue services for the Mountain Springs community and the surrounding rural areas of southern Clark County.
Station 79 operates a fleet of emergency response apparatus designed for rural and mountainous terrain, including Engine 79 for structural and wildland firefighting, Water Tender 79 for supplemental water support in areas without hydrants, and Rescue 79 for medical and rescue-related incidents.
Located near the foothills of the Spring Mountains along U.S. Highway 95, the Mountain Springs response area includes steep grades, desert landscapes, and limited roadway access. The station plays an essential role in safeguarding residents, travelers, and recreational visitors in a geographically challenging environment.
The Clark County Fire Department actively recruits volunteer firefighters for its rural stations, including Station 79. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid Nevada driver’s license, and certifications in CPR/AED and EMT (Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic). Additional training such as Firefighter I and Hazardous Materials certifications are desirable.
