Clark County Fire Department Rural Division
Goodsprings Station 78
Goodsprings Station 78 Overview
Goodsprings Station 78 is a volunteer fire station within the Clark County Fire Department’s Rural Division, located at 375 North Beacon Street, Goodsprings, NV 89019.
The station is staffed by dedicated volunteer firefighters who provide fire protection, emergency medical response, and rescue services for Goodsprings and the surrounding rural regions of western Clark County.
The Goodsprings volunteer team maintains a fleet of emergency response apparatus tailored for remote incident support. Equipment assigned to Station 78 includes Engine 78 for structural firefighting, Water Tender 78 for supplemental water supply in areas without hydrants, and Squad 78 for wildland and support operations.
Situated in the historic unincorporated community of Goodsprings near Nevada State Route 161, the station serves a geographically broad desert area with minimal infrastructure and longer travel distances between population centers. Station 78 plays a critical role in safeguarding residents, visitors, and local properties against fire and medical emergencies.
The Clark County Fire Department actively recruits volunteer firefighters for its rural stations, including Station 78. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid Nevada driver’s license, and certifications in CPR/AED and EMT (Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic). Additional certifications such as Firefighter I (IFSAC) and Hazardous Materials training are desirable.
